in the neighborhood affected by the water main project. If you have not already
spoken to Saurel or Buddy about your sidewalk, yard, other concern, etc.,
please e-mail Saurel or me (Dan Magee, dan_magee@hotmail.com) as soon

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH UPDATE FROM CHCA (On other side of N. Druid Hills Rd.)
From Clairmont Hts. Civic Association, Wednesday, September 28, 2005
Today at approx. 5:30pm a Red Ford F150 pickup truck loaded with lawn care
equipment was stolen off the street at the corner of Eastway Road and
Winleas Road. The suspect is a tall, thin, white male with blonde hair and
a short or scruffy beard/mustache. The suspect approached a yard man
working at the end of Eastway near Sunstede. He asked the man for money and
was given $3. The yard man said he seemed to be looking around and
surveying things. The suspect then went up the street to another yard man
working at the corner of Winleas and Eastway. The suspect asked this man to
give him an estimate on yard work down the street. The 2nd yard man left
his work with the suspect and after meeting the 1st yard man noticed the
suspect was gone. When he returned to his work his truck was gone. The
owner at this house saw the red truck driving very fast down Winleas and
knew it was his yard man's truck but didn't realize it was in the process of
being stolen until a few minutes too late. The police responded quickly but
no word as of 6:30.
Please be on the lookout for the suspect and report any suspicious activity.
This was done in daylight during rush hour. Lock your cars! Be alert! Be
safe!
